The Adventures of Fauna Pancake

Hallo my little comets! Confusing title, eh? Well, I got this idea for a series of pancake adventures from the amazing TwinkleLight2002! She's a very sweet, creative person, and I'd like to give her a shout-out. (Round of applause ensues.) It won't be an exact pancake adventure, but I just wanted to include pancake in the title. XD

Anywhoozies, now it's time to begin:

Fauna Pancake, some things that you need to know about this perky, weird eagle: She is a germaphobe, a.k.a., afraid of germs. She likes pancakes, but she actually likes waffles better, which is weird. She likes to stand out, but not too much, and she thinks that chocolate is disgusting. (Sorry, Pink.) She also wishes that her wings were feet.

I just re-read that paragraph and realized how weird Fauna is. XD

Goodbye Rares!

Hiya my little comets! As you have heard, the new eagle adventure (The Forgotten Desert), hands out beta-big-rares as their prize! Awesome, right!? That means that there will be less scamming, hacking, etc., since now the status of 'rares' are gone. At least, sort of.

The only problem is the fact that people might potentially quit, or become less interested in the game because of the lack of 'rarity.' D:

First off, if you wear a spider mask and sleep as a fox, it looks weird...

I'm just a spider, nothing more! XD

Also, there are new den portals that link to your buddies' dens! Epic, eh?

I really like how you can personalize the portals! It's too bad that they're all for members. I hope AJHQ releases non-member den portals, but they most likely won't. Eurgh, why do non-members not get as many rights as they used to? I wish that they could be given another adventure to play. DX

Speaking of the adventure, here are some pictures of the 'Forgotten Desert:'

Aw, I love that frog, it's so cute and has such a sweet story behind its making. <3

Also, I have come to another conclusion! The adventure also gives out unreleased items. Look at this person and the bow they're wearing:

That bow is unrare and uncommon. There was only one in existence, and they were treated like the magenta bows before they came out. A special jammer would receive a bow, and it was super cool! I think the adventure is giving out these bows, too, because:

I found several people with these bows! Cool! So the unreleased items that people lied for are also being released. Those 'unreleased' items are safe, guys. I traded for a couple and they don't do anything to your account. AJHQ intended for these to be in the game. :3

(I really would like this Mira statue, it's like the Animal Jam Soul and Star mascot! For some reason I can see it appearing in Epic Wonders in the future...)

New Daily Explorer & Info!

Hello my little comets! I forgot to mention this earlier, but there is a new Daily Explorer blog!

The blog features lovely art and unique stories for each alpha, posts that are written by the alphas themselves, and an 'easy-on-the-eyes' layout. I feel that AJHQ is slightly altering their art, but not in a bad way! Their new art style is definitely very pretty. Me gusta. x3

Today, I was doing some more research into the unreleased items. It turns out that Animal Jam truly is giving these items back because they want to be kind to jammers. These items actually aren't a hack, which is pretty crazy!

The weird thing is, lots of people have been asking me to offer for their items, but they don't look that cool since they're everywhere. I don't understand why people are doing this if it's going to make the item's rarity go down. I'm pretty sure that they will go down; the more common the items are, the less rare they will be.

This means that all betas are not going to be worth as much, which, in all honesty, may be actually pretty good! I'm not going to rant on and on about this, so I'll just go on. XD

Moving onward, look at the sweet message that I got the other day!

Words w/ Comet #2: 'Dating'

Hiya jammers! It's been a while since I've last done a 'Words w/ Comet' post, so I decided that it's about time that I wrote another one. Today, we are going to be talking about a pretty interesting and popular topic. 'Dating' on Animal Jam.

There are several reasons why you shouldn't 'date' on Animal Jam:

1. You don't know this person at all. You may think you know them, but you don't know the real person. Many people like to act behind the computer screen.
2. This person could be untrustworthy. (They most likely aren't, but it's always good to be careful!) If they ask you for personal information, never tell them, no matter how trustworthy you think they are. Once they get their paws on your information, they could use it or manipulate and find a way to hurt you.
3. Misunderstandings are most likely to occur. Have you ever had that accident when you talked to someone online but they completely misunderstood your meaning? That can happen any time on Animal Jam, of course, but if your 'partner' misunderstands what you're saying, you could get in online fights, and worse, both of you could be hurt. 
4. This is a game. It's not an online dating website. I understand if you like to hang out with that person, but truly, I'd be weirded out if I did 'love' emoticons with another person online. It's kind of awkward, especially since it's a game. 

If people want to date, well, I guess there's no stopping them. However, 'dating' on Animal Jam could always resort to something dangerous. Just take care and think before you type!

Suspicious Hacks

Hello my little comets! I'm sorry for not posting in a while (though it technically has been a week, right?) I post weekly-ish, I guess. I know, I know, I should post more often, but it's nearly impossible during the weekdays. My apologies. Anywhoozies, before I get to the main topic of this post, I need your opinion on a very (not) important matter!

Next bit of information:

AJHQ did a lot of cool glitch fixes in this update, but one of the weirdest is the fact that now, long usernames are shrunken down! Weird. It's going to take me a while to get used to that. Boy, now I'm really glad that my username was changed, or else my old username would've definitely been shrunk. (Yep, I'm OCD like that.)

There's also the handy-dandy doorbell function!

Too bad that I didn't get to hear the sound. 

Also, whenever you lock or unlock your den, a nice message appears:

Hmm, muy interesante! Yes, Spanish is fun. :3

Now, to get to the heart of the post. (I also posted a similar topic like this on the Rise Against the Hackers, if you'd like to check it out.) Lately, there have been lots of jammers with unreleased items:

Ahem.

You know, people with unreleased items like white gazelles, green gazelles, orange gazelles, white pigtails, orange pigtails, black mechs, etc. Well, I found out that somehow they're hacking it from AJHQ themselves! Apparently people are saying that these jammers are telling Animal Jam they 'lost' these items by getting hacked/scammed, and AJHQ just sends those items to them!

Well, truly these items were probably hacked from AJHQ. I really doubt that AJHQ is that dim-witted to fall for such lies. It angers me to see people go to such lengths to get some items, though! I mean, 'To the Jammers Getting the Weird Items: You do realize that you're messing with a bunch of people who know how to code and invented this whole game, right? You're also probably messing with the law by messing with this website. Hacking a website is illegal...you're probably going to get your I.P. address banned by AJHQ. And this is all for what? Some unreleased items that look less cool because everyone has them?"

Fishy. Suspicious. It also angers me, too. I feel bad for AJHQ because this situation is just bad and...blergh.

Okay, off of that little (not) rant. Next up is a to-do list that I have in order to get organized.

1.) Make more KM banners.

2.) Make a Color Charity banner.

3.) Work on NebulaNight's Art Trade drawing.

4.) Work on blog (possibly?) more.
